Hitting a Crossroads in Life

So how can we begin to heal ourselves emotionally to be truly free? Maybe you’re at a crossroads in your life where life is telling you you can’t go on living the same ways and patterns that you have been. I remember being at this point myself and I do remember feeling a bit lost on how to go about healing and changing myself for the better. Luckily for me my intuition taught me how to use energy healing to heal myself. Maybe not everyone knows how to go about it though properly. I just want to share some tips and ideas on how I would go about it to remove blockages in my energy field.

There’s No One Right Way to Heal

I believe everyone is unique so there really isn’t a right or wrong way to go about it. It’s ultimately up to the individual how they wish to proceed. I will say that the biggest weapon you have to heal yourself is the mind. For me all my healing has been through my mind. That’s where the power of visualization comes into play.

Using Your Third Eye and Imagination

I like to use my third eye primarily in energy healing. I like to close my eyes to see better through my mind’s eye. Then I like to visualize and scan areas in my body or energy field to see if I can find anything that feels off. If I find an area that doesn’t feel right I will focus more on that area to find out what the problem is.

Breaking Up Blockages with Visualization

Once I locate the blockage in my body I will then visualize myself breaking up this blockage. Here is where your imagination comes in handy. I remember coming across blockages in my own energy healing and I remember using different methods to break them up. I would visualize things like scissors cut through the blockage. If it was a hard blockage I would visualize something like a hammer bashing up and down through it. After pounding on the blockage for a while I remember it breaking up and returning back to normal. That’s the power of visualization to heal ourselves.

What the Mind’s Eye Can Show You

Our mind’s eye is truly a third eye that we all have. Also through visualization if you see colors in your imagination don’t dismiss that. Colors have a lot of meaning in visualization. And colors that we associate with things apply very much in energy healing. Like if you see a rich blue color well that could mean a calming color and healing color. If you see colors that make you feel gross a bit then that should tell you to find an area that needs balance and healing. I have found that an orange or reddish color is associated with anger a lot of the time.

Repressed Emotions and the Physical Body

Repressed emotions are very destructive to our well beings and they also hinder our growth emotionally and even physically also. That’s why it is so beneficial to root out these blockages so we can feel balance and whole once more.

How to Know When a Blockage Has Cleared

How do you know when a blockage has cleared or not? To make sure it is fully gone from my own experience you will sense a wave of peace and heaviness that has gone away. It’s a total shift. It could be a sudden emotional release like crying and you will probably feel a lot lighter. That’s because negative emotions are heavy and carrying a lot of them can lead to obesity. You might even feel heat, tingling, or movement in the body where the blockage used to be. Always pay attention to those subtle signs. That’s your body’s way of communicating with you.

The Power of Intention in Healing

I also want to add the importance of intention during all of this. You can visualize all day until the cows come home but if there is no clear intention behind what you are doing, the results might not come. Set an intention before you start any healing session. It can be simple like “I am ready to release what no longer serves me” or “I choose to heal this part of myself now.” That one little step can make all the difference in how powerful your healing session becomes.

Be Patient with the Process

Also don’t panic if you don’t totally feel healed after one session. It’s not always a one-time thing. Emotional blockages and trauma can run very deep and it will more than likely take more than one healing session to be released from it all. Be patient with yourself. You’re not broken – you’re just clearing out what doesn’t belong to you anymore and doesn’t serve your highest good. And sometimes the universe works in mysterious ways. I mean that the deeper stuff only comes up when you’re truly ready to deal with it. Trust the timing.

Daily Visualization Practice for Emotional Healing

  • Find a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed.
  • Set a clear intention (e.g., “I release the emotional pain from my past.”)
  • Close your eyes and breathe deeply. Focus on calming your energy.
  • Visualize scanning your body. Ask your intuition to guide you.
  • Locate any “off” feeling or tension.
  • Imagine healing it—with light, water, fire, or tools like scissors or a hammer, as I described.
  • End with gratitude. Thank your body and energy for working with you.

Final Thoughts on Your Healing Journey

Emotional healing really is a process, and it doesn’t always happen all at once. Some days you might feel like you’re making a lot of progress, and other days the same emotions might come back up again. That’s totally normal. It doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong. It just means there’s still more to work through. Be patient with yourself and trust the timing of it all. I’ve learned that healing happens in layers, and each time you go back and do the work, you’re peeling back one more layer that doesn’t belong anymore.

Even small changes mean you’re healing. Feeling a little more calm, lighter in your body, or even just sleeping better—those are all signs things are shifting. And sometimes when a blockage clears, you might feel things like heat, tingling, or even emotions coming out like crying. That’s all part of it. It’s your body and energy doing what it needs to do to release it.

The most important part is to keep showing up for yourself. Make a habit out of your healing practice. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Just keep doing it with the intention to heal. That alone is powerful. Use your imagination. Trust what you see in your mind’s eye. And always listen to what your body is telling you—it knows more than we think.

At the end of the day, this is your journey. You’re not broken. You’re just clearing out what no longer belongs. And with each healing session, you’re getting closer to feeling whole again. Keep going. You’ve got this.
